Always confirm the exact Pajero generation, three-door or five-door body, roof equipment and roof-load value in the owner's manual/handbook or vehicle technical certificate, if it is listed there, before choosing a rooftop tent.

Pajero I and some Pajero II versions with traditional rain gutters need vehicle-specific gutter-mount bars or platform feet. Other Pajero II versions can have factory raised rails and need raised-rail bars. Pajero III and IV with factory raised roof rails need model-approved raised-rail bars for the exact generation and body length. Pajero III and IV without longitudinal rails use factory carrier brackets or fixed mounting points beneath the roof mouldings and need an exact fixed-point rack or platform. A sunroof is not a mounting surface; the rack must use the approved rails or brackets and preserve clearance. Bars or platforms on a large off-road SUV usually weigh around 6-7 kg or more, so check the complete setup - tent, rack and mounting hardware together.

Use Thule, Yakima or another exact approved Pajero-specific gutter, raised-rail, fixed-point or platform system. Do not transfer a three-door fit to a five-door body or a rail-equipped fit to a roof without rails.
