Roof tent for Suzuki Jimny

The Suzuki Jimny is a tiny off-road icon, and visually it looks made for adventure camping. For rooftop tents, the standard roof-load numbers are the detail that needs the most attention. Jimny III 1998-2018 and Jimny IV from 2018 onward are commonly listed around 30 kg roof load, including the carrier/load context. That is much lower than most cars in this gallery, even though many aftermarket expedition builds exist online. Because of this low roof-load rating, Jimny rooftop-tent installations sit outside our normal fitment guidance. Customers shown in the gallery with a Jimny were informed about this limitation before installation and chose the setup at their own responsibility.

Jimny III 1998-2018 with factory raised roof rails can use raised-rail bars for light cargo, but the 30 kg roof-load class means it should not be presented as a rooftop tent setup. Jimny III without rails needs a model-specific no-rail rack, again only for light cargo unless a separate engineered approval exists. Jimny IV 2018 onward and Jimny 5-door 2023 onward use gutter or Jimny-specific platform/multi-roof-rack systems, not universal raised-rail bars. Universal roof bars from our range can be used only on Jimny III 1998-2018 with factory raised roof rails, and only for light cargo within the low roof-load limit. For Jimny IV, Jimny 5-door and rooftop tent use in general, treat the installation as a special low-load case: the customer should understand the limitation and proceed only at their own responsibility with a documented specialist system.
