Roof tent for Subaru XV

The Subaru XV, also known as Crosstrek in some markets, is a compact crossover with real outdoor character and a useful amount of ground clearance for gravel tracks and trailheads. Roof load depends on the roof version. Early XV raised-rail versions can be around 68 kg, later raised or flush rail versions are often around 80 kg, and some Crosstrek/XV successor raised-rail variants from 2023 onward separate dynamic driving load from higher static parked load. Fixed-point or no-rail versions need separate rack confirmation and should not inherit the raised-rail recommendation. Always confirm the exact XV/Crosstrek generation, roof rails and roof-load value in the owner's manual/handbook or vehicle technical certificate, if it is listed there, before choosing a tent setup.

Subaru XV 2012-2016 with raised roof rails and XV 2017-2022 with raised roof rails need raised-rail bars. XV 2019-2022 with flush or low-profile rails needs a flush-rail bar kit. Crosstrek/XV successor variants from 2023 onward with raised rails need raised-rail bars. Fixed-point or no-rail XV versions need model-specific fixed-point bars and are a more model-specific rooftop tent option. Roof bars on a compact crossover like the XV usually weigh around 5-6 kg, so check the complete setup - tent, bars and mounting hardware together.
