Roof tent for Jeep Gladiator

The Jeep Gladiator looks like a perfect adventure truck, but the factory hardtop roof is not the best place to start with a heavy rooftop tent. The ordinary hardtop roof luggage rack limit is around 45 kg including crossbars, and soft-top or open-air versions should not be treated as roof-rack vehicles. For SNAILER tents, the practical Gladiator solution is usually a rated bed rack, bed-mounted rack, hard canopy rack or hardtop/canopy rack with documented dynamic and static ratings.

Always confirm whether the tent is mounted to the hardtop, a reinforced hardtop support/platform, the pickup bed or a canopy, because those are very different load paths.

Gladiator hardtop can use Thule, Yakima or similar hardtop rain-gutter bars for light cargo, but the ordinary 45 kg hardtop roof limit is not a normal SNAILER tent recommendation. Soft-top Gladiator versions should use a rated bed rack, canopy rack or independent external/bed-mounted system instead of roof bars on the soft top. Reinforced hardtop support or platform systems can be considered only when their dynamic, static and off-road ratings support the tent. Bed racks and platforms can be heavier than simple bars, so check the complete setup - tent, rack and mounting hardware together.

Use Thule, Yakima or another approved Gladiator-specific bed, canopy or reinforced roof system.
