Roof tent for Fiat Qubo

The Fiat Qubo is a small, practical van-derived MPV that can be interesting for simple trips, weekend overnight stays and compact travel with a rooftop tent. With this model it is important to check the exact model year, version and roof-load figure, because the values can vary by vehicle. Early Qubo model years may list a 50 kg roof load including the roof bars and load, while later versions often show a 70 kg figure. Some N1 commercial versions may also have a higher value in their documents, but that should only be used according to the exact handbook or technical documents for that specific vehicle.

A Fiat Qubo without longitudinal roof rails needs a proper model-specific system mounted to the fixed mounting points in the roof. Qubo Trekking versions or trims with open longitudinal roof rails need crossbars for raised roof rails. Use Fiat/OEM, Thule, Yakima or another explicitly approved system for the exact roof type and model year.

When installing a rooftop tent, the total weight must always include the crossbars and mounting hardware as well. On vehicles with a roof load of around 70 kg, the Qubo can be a usable base depending on the exact setup; on earlier 50 kg versions, the options are much more limited.
