I was looking for a low profile, hard-shell roof tent and found Snailer. I was super happy the Snailer company is based in Slovakia. The tent arrived in one week after I placed an order. It was well packed and protected, the mounting process was easy and quick, the tent is not that heavy to lift. I am using Thule Wingbar EVO roof rails and it fits perfectly.
The built quality of the tent surprised me. All the materials feel premium, all the gadgets and storing spaces are very practical.
When you need to sleep, the tent is ready to use in 1 minute. I like the tent opens from rear side, it provides more space. There is also enough space when closed you can leave your sleeping bags inside. What I have to point out is the mattress. It is perfectly firm and soft at the same time. You don't feel the tent floor when lying, also I love additional layer under the mattress to increase ventilation and prevent mattress geting filled with humidity.
While driving, there is no vibration or any strange feeling. The fuel consumption is appx. 0,5 liters higher compared to driving without the tent. Which is great!
I absolutelly recommend the Snailer Alduo roof tent if you are looking for a simple and quality tent for two people.
